Accessing the raw data
All Leica airborne sensors store their raw data on Mass Memories or SSD disks, but may use a different approach of disk interconnection.
Via MM30/60 Data ports
Typically a user will employ two MM data ports to download the raw data. Each of them comes with a USB3 connection cable and a power connector. In order to use, push the MM into the slot and make sure, the slot is locked using the key lock. Connect to power and plug the USB3 cable into a USB3 port of the system used for storage purposes resp. to execute the data transfer.
Once the two MM data ports are powered on and plugged in, they will show up as four individual drives (MM30) or two individual drives (MM60) in the Explorer and are now ready for the copy process.
Via MM30/60 Download Station
The MM Download Station is a box with two MM slots. Each slot is lockable. It comes with a USB3 connector and a power connector. In order to use, push both MM into the slots and make sure, the slots are locked using the key lock. Connect to power and plug the USB3 cable into a USB3 port of the system used for storage purposes resp. to execute the data transfer.
Once the two MM data ports are powered on and plugged in, they will show up as four individual drives (MM30) or two individual drives (MM60) in the Explorer and are now ready for the copy process.
