Accessing data from Leica DMC III
Via MM30 RAID DS or MM30 Copy Station
Leica DMC III systems use four MM30 to store data. Each MM30 holds one partition (two SSDs combined to RAID0). In order to transfer raw data, use either
the MM30 RAID Download station is required. It can be connected to a computer equipped with an Areca Raid Controller ARC‐1882x or ARC‐1883x
or
the MM30 Copy Station. It already includes a Raid Controller (ARC-5066).
To prepare the copy process, connect MM30 RAID DS resp. the MM30 Copy Station to the system used to execute the data transfer. Do not yet power on!
Check if the eject button is fully pushed in (it may be required to push it twice) and the key locks are in open position. Now insert the four MM30 mass memory modules into the four slots. Make sure, the MM30 are securely locked using the accessories keys. Power the MM30 RAID DS on.
After that step the partitions will show up as four individual drives in the Explorer and are now ready for the copy process.
Note: Regarding more details on how to operate the download stations used for DMC II, please refer to the BoxPC Download Guide or the MM30 Copy Station Guide.
