Review and Accept Radiometry

The last step of Blockwide Radiometry is to review and accept the result for Product Generation.

Review Radiometry Adjustment

Show Adjusted / Unadjusted toolbar button is provided to aid the user in the Review step.

• Show Adjusted (button is not pressed) will display the complete Blockwide Radiometry result: Base and Extended corrections, Global Radiometric Profile, Radiometric normalization adjustment and Regional radiometry edits

• Show Unadjusted (button is pressed) will only display the Base and Extended corrections together with the Global Radiometric Profile

• By alternately displaying the Adjusted and Unadjusted images, the user quickly gains an impression of the adjustment result, and can identify any remaining regions which may require further regional radiometry edits

Accept Radiometry

Once the user is satisfied with the Blockwide Radiometry results, click the Accept Radiometry toolbar button to finalize the result.

When the user Accepts radiometry the following actions occur:

• Global Radiometric Profile is stored to all sessions contained in the HxMap project’s block

• Radiometric normalization adjustment and regional radiometry edits are stored to .hexrad files contained in the HxMap project’s block

The block is now ready for the user to proceed to Product Generation.

It’s required to Accept Radiometry before proceeding to Product Generation. Without this step, the Blockwide Radiometry results will not be available, and image outputs will not match what the user visualized in Product Generation perspective.
