Texture Atlas generation

A Texture Atlas (TA) is an image containing multiple smaller images (textures), usually packed together to reduce overall dimensions. The TA generator can be launched from the Product Generation Perspectives Tools menu “Generate Texture Atlas…” without having a block loaded.

Generate Texture Atlas tool takes as input the individual roof and wall texture files which are created during a Texture product generation. Configuration for the Generate Texture Atlas tool is described below.

Input 3D Model File: Building model file (*.tdc) from Texture product generation
Texture Folder: Root folder of the individual Roofs and/or Walls texture files from Texture product generation
Output 3D Model file: New generated 3D Model file (*.tdc) containing TA information
Textur Atlas Format: Output image Format (PNG, JPEG, TIFF)
Prefix: Optional Prefix to the TA file name
Suffix: Optional Suffix to the TA file name
Minimum allowed Size: Optional setting to define a minimum allowed atlas size (Power of two)
Maximum allowed Size: Optional setting to define a maximum allowed atlas size (Power of two)
Create Texture Atlases grouped by Building (ID): Select if Texture Atlasses should contain only images from one building (Object-ID)
Allow Multiple Texture Atlases: Select to allow the generation of multiple Texture Atlasses
Sharpen Texture Atlas: Select if the Texture Atlas should be sharpened afterwards
Change Saturation: Use the slider if you want to change the saturation of the final Texture Atlasses
Write Default Colors: Select default colors for not textured objects
Job Settings: Select if the Texture Atlas generation should be executed on the local machine or a cluster
