Using HxMap
HxMap provides all functionality required to process data from the raw data collected to the final output product delivered to a customer. The overall workflow can roughly be divided into three main processing phases:
Data Preparation: Raw data is converted into an intermediate format used for further processing
Data Adjustment: Original data is adjusted radiometrically and geometrically to improve quality
Product Generation: Adjusted data is processed into final products
The workflow has multiple gate controls the data passes through as it goes through the workflow that change it underlying data or metadata for the following steps.
First Gate
This gate control is where acquired data has gone through the “Data Preparation” steps like Ingest, passed QC and is ready to be combined with other flights to form a Block to be processed together in the downstream workflow.
Second Gate
Signifies that data has gone through Geometric Adjustment (Triangulation and LiDAR Matching), passed Geometric QC and is ready for the next steps in the workflow. This happens when the user accepts the results of the data adjustment runs.
Third Gate
Signifies that the data has gone through radiometric adjustment and been accepted as ready for end user product generation.
