Adding Atmospheric Information

The operator can add atmospheric information during flight execution. The operator can add multiple atmospheric information entries during the same flight session. All the atmospheric information entries are added to the flightdata.xml metadata file that is passed along with the recorded data for data processing. The operator cannot edit or delete the existing atmospheric information entries.

The operator have to enter the following atmospheric information in the Atmospheric Information view.

Add an Atmospheric Information entry

Adding an Atmospheric Information entry is only possible during Flight Execution

  1. Select any of the Flight Guidance Views

  2. Click the Annotation 011-Anno.bmp button

  3. Click the Atmospheric Information OpenPressureDialog.png button

  4. Click the Tab Left 027-MoveLCol.bmp button or the Tab Right 028-MoveRCol.bmp button to select the field

  5. Click the Large Increment 042-IncValF.bmp , Small Increment 043-IncValS.bmp , Small Decrement 044-DecValS.bmp or Large Decrement 045-DecValF.bmp buttons change the values in the selected field

  6. Enter the values for:

    1. Pressure At Sea Level (QNH) with units of hPA

    2. Temperature with units of °C

    3. Altitude MSL with units of metre

    4. Date and Time

  7. Click the Set Atmospheric Information SetPressureButton.png button to add the atmospheric information entry

  8. Click the Accept 164-Accept.bmp button to continue or the Cancel 155-Cancel.bmp button to cancel

  9. Click the Return 031-Return.bmp button to return to the Annotation view.
